What types of winding equipment does Alliance offer?

Alliance offers winding solutions based on the design elements of the stator or rotor. The solution is driven by the size of the motor, wire size, and whether the product will be wound and then inserted or wound directly onto the pole.

For wound and then inserted stators, the technology offered includes shed wound and kicker-pin winding. This solution winds directly into a tool that will be used during insertion to inject the coils into the stator either by phase or simo-insertion.

For direct pole winding, the copper is wound with precision directly onto the pole or tooth of a stator with internal or external slots. This technology can also be used for individual poles or segments, which are later assembled together. This winding technology is also often referred to as needle winding and in-slot winding.
